Risk Management

We are fully committed to intensive and constant risk management for all our customers and their positions. To ensure risk is properly managed and understood, we:
  • back up all our sales areas with a fully independent capability
  • operate on a real-time basis to help minimize customers' exposures proactively analyse ‘what if' scenarios by stress-testing all portfolios
  • evaluate worst-case scenarios and implement controls.

We operate several electronic trading platforms with differing methodologies for assessing and limiting risk. Some systems are purely limit-based, disallowing trades that would exceed the maximum position size we have imposed. Others have additional margin-based risk functionality, where the electronic trading platform seeks to replicate the exchange-calculated margin for each product and limit trading accordingly.
